Unplugged DVD

Nirvana just released their MTV Unplugged DVD yesterday.  You can even pick it up at one of  your local nine or ten Starbucks.  I was eleven when Kurt Cobain grew to rock legend maybe twelve.  So I didn’t at the time realize what a need for Nirvana was.  As I went into high school the drama of Kurt offing himself at his home in seattle always struck a chord in me for some reason.  That is when I started listening to his band and realizing how they were such an influence on so many other bands that I was listening to at the time.  Looking back now I wonder what happend to that influence, rock today just doesn’t have the same effect on me anymore.

I think what was great about Kurt Cobain was that he was such a huge Beatles fan.  Which punk rock or grunge was rebelling against it.
